Flash Chrome Plating

We offer a flash chrome plating service using Chromclad 2500, the same system used for hard chrome plating. Standard surface coatings are 10-15µm.

Overview: Flash chrome plating deposits are widely used for very fine tolerance applications such as tooling that requires greater lubricity and wear resistance. Other applications include saw blades and drill bits that benefit from reduced galling and smoother release of swarf etc during the cutting process. Flash chrome plating is also suited to precision threads where a thicker coating would be disadvantageous. Flash chrome plating of threads reduces galling and seizure without excessive surface build up.

Tanks: We offer tank sizes up to 3' x 2' x 2.5'.

Thickness: Standard thickness is 10-15µm.
