We offer zinc phosphating and manganese phosphating for steel and iron respectively.
Overview: The stainless steel passivation process removes all surface impurities and stimulates the development of an oxide film which protects the component from rust and corrosion. In general all tanks are made up specifically for the job at hand which means you can always be assured of a fresh solution. Phosphating is usually carried out as a pretreatment for subsequent plating, but we also offer phosphating as a stand alone service.
Tanks: We offer tank sizes up to 6' x 5' x 3'.
Thickness: Phosphating produces a film of approximately 2µm.
Zinc Phosphate: Zinc phosphate is suited to the pretreatment of steels and produces a grey colour on most materials.
Manganese Phosphate: Manganese phosphate is suited to the pretreatment of irons and produces a black colour on most materials.
Dewatering: Dewatering, where required, is carried out with an oil coating.
