

Phosphate processes are used on steel parts for corrosion resistance or as a foundation for painting. We offer two different phosphating processes: Zinc Phosphate and Manganese Phosphate.
Zinc phosphate is undertaken by immersing iron or steel parts in a zinc coating solution the provides a thin coating to the part. This finish produces a grey colour on parts and is often finished with a dewatering oil coating.
Manganese phosphate provides a thicker coating than zinc phosphate. This process is particularly helpful with parts that require 'sliding' ( such as engine parts). The process is also commonly used on fasteners and bearings.
