Nickel plating is a process that involves suspending the parts (on a wire or a jig) in a chemical bath and running an electrical current through the parts. This results in a reaction in which the nickel is electrically deposited onto the parts- which increases the thickness. The standard thickness applied through nickel plating is 10-12um but there can be some variation if required. This process can be offered on steel and brass parts- with certain aluminium parts also possible.
Nickel plating can be offered in either a bright or dull finish, as well as a barrel plating alternative.
